Jazz Improvisation System - Documentation and Analysis

As a prerequisite to beginning this project, I undertook an analysis to see if jazz theory could be analyzed in a (more or less) rigorous manner.  The resuls of this analysis are documented in a research paper on jazz fundamentals.  This research paper is also available for download in several formats: MS Word, pdf, Open Office Word.
